Engaging in the counselling experience may help to improve your general emotional and psychological well-being. Counselling can be useful for a wide range of concerns such as:
Stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, OCD, PTSD, trauma and grief.
Life transitions such as the birth of a new baby, empty nest experiences, separation or divorce.
Communication and relationship difficulties.
Emotional, psychological, mood and behavioural concerns.

What should I expect at the first appointment?
At your first appointment, you will be asked to fill out some administrative forms (including a consent form) and discussed with you what you wish to address in therapy. It may be helpful to think of areas and goals that are important to you so we can discuss these at your first appointment. Background information may be gathered regarding various life events and experiences that contributed to you seeking therapy. Extra time will be allocated to your first appointment to allow for the additional administrative tasks.
How do I know you are right for me?
Janine respectfully appreciates that the decision to engage with a counsellor is a personal and for some, a challenging first step. With this in mind, she is more than happy for you to call and chat with her before making an appointment.
How much will it cost?
Standard session $140 (50-60 minutes)
Initial consult $180 (80-90 minutes)
Long session $180 (80-90 minutes)

No, as you are a privately paying client you do not need a mental health plan. You may simply call Janine to make an appointment.
